This year, the Drug Enforcement Administration is advertising a “Drug Take Back Day”, taking place on October 22, 2016 between 10 am and 2 pm. This day aims to provide a convenient and safe way to dispose of your unused and out of date prescription pills, as well as to teach the public about prescription drug abuse, and how we can prevent it. Most of these drug receptacles are being held at local police stations, or visit the website below to find a collection site near you.

Since this month is National Prescription Drug Abuse Month, it is a great time to host such an event, and an even better time to educate yourselves about the dangers of prescription drug abuse. Behind alcohol and marijuana, prescription drugs are the most commonly abused drug in Americans 14 and older. For more information on prescription drug abuse, and where to turn in your unused and out of date prescription drugs, visit the following website!
